It all begins with an idea. Perhaps I can convert the cow shed into a darkroom?

Well, it took longer than I thought, around 18 months of solid DIY, it also cost a little more than I expected.

But it’s great to have it functioning. Still lots to do, paint behind the enlargers, build my metal halide light source etc etc. But it’s great to be back in the darkroom.

It’s been around 30 years since I had my last one so lots of practice and lots of patience required but excited to get going.

Started the journey with Wet Plate. Moving onto Photopolymer Gravure and Copper Plate Gravure over the summer of 23.

It’s going to be fun !
